1) The bulk Earth composition is approximately that of a carbonaceous chondrite.

2) The core and mantle have not exchanged material since differentiation.

3) The mass of continental crust has not changed significantly since the early Archean.

4) Heat-producing elements are required in the core to power the dynamo and mantle convection.

5) The inner core formed shortly after the differentiation of Earth.

6) Mantle plumes are derived from the CMB.
