Ben's Rubbish Homepage
An unhealthy obsession with volcanoes and a positively disturbing infatuation with caldera collapse and magma fragmentation.

Anyone reading this and thinking of coming to McGill to study volcanoes, I would like to point out that you won't find a better supervisor than John. He lets you develop your own project rather than making you work for him, which is the case with most supervisors. He is also genuinely interested in your ideas, however ridiculous they may be. I have learnt tons from him and have visited some really cool places in the last few years. Have a look at what we are doing by clicking on the links. I have taken some pretty wicked photos, (I have taken some terrible photos too but I didn't put them on the web). Anyway, check out the decent ones. I also have details of the kind of research I am doing.
I would also like to advertise the European Union Volcanological Training Network and the International Quality Network for providing me funding for a very scientifically productive and fun year in Munich working with Don Dingwell, Oliver Spieler and their fragmentation group.
